This role is aimed at people who are looking to retrain following Redundancy or long term unemployment due to ill-health or other reason. We are aiming to attract a cohort of volunteers who are 50 or older and have become frustrated due to limited opportunities caused by the decline in traditional industries. This is a unique opportunity to retrain. The initial program will last for 12 months. This will give the beneficiary an opportunity to hone key skills and decide on what training pathway to follow. There are no specific prerequisites, but a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and key interpersonal skills are desirable. Computer skills would be beneficial but could be developed during the program of study. There will be multiple opportunities in this category.
